Two of the most important components of the New Pentax K7 DSLR is it's awesome weather-proofing, and that capacity for HD Video Capture. I have probably not mentioned much about either function in earlier articles because I'm probably not that great of a video photographer and I certainly don't do expeditions to the Arctic or something like that, however possibly I missed them because I never use these functions. How inconsiderate of me, I apologise! Sorry I am so ordinary.
Anyway. Here is my take.

Pentax K7The Pentax K7 just like the K20D, gives what can realistically be described as exceptional weather-proofing, unlike the D90 which does not have any and the Canon 50D which has water proofing which is ineffective.

With the K7, even your cheaper equipment lenses such as your 18-55 standard range and 50-200 tele lens will certainly be properly weather-sealed with Pentax's advanced weather proofing system, this implies which you could even use it under near arctic circumstances, as it will easily perform down at 14 degrees fahrenheit (-10C), compared to just 32F/0C with other supposedly "climate-sealed" cameras on the market.
Even cameras like Canon’s 1Ds and Nikon’s D3 are nowhere close to the K7 in terms of this level of functionality. This means in fact that it is a great digital camera within the extra excessive travel conditions, where even essentially the most rugged "professional" cameras can typically encounter excessive failure rates.
Not so with the Pentax K7. It is up for almost anything. Click here for more info on

Not only that, but as I already mentioned earlier, it will also do an incredible job of video for you under those conditions too, which is a really superior feature. The K7 beats out just about every single one of the competitors in the midrange market section of the DSLR market, though the others as is the norm will attempt to play catch up, as all the copy cats get in on the Pentax's action.
Pentax seems to be doing video better than everybody else and that is beyond argument. The K7 supports your standard 1280×720p, 30fps HD, and incorporates a jack for an exterior microphone which you won't get with any of the other the bottom-end video-capable DSLRs.
By the way this implies that you could have top of the range sound in stereo if you happen to want. Brilliantly, the K7 utilizes the complete area of the sensor and offers a 1536×1024, giving 3:2 ratio mode , instead of wasting a sixth of your frame size like every other digital does when shooting a 16:9 video.
Full credit to the Pentax K7 designers for thinking ahead of the curve.
One other great feature in video capture is the K7’s sensor-based image stabilization system, which makes the Pentax K7 DSLR a camera that offers you awesome results. It will always assist guys like me who maybe have shaking hands that come as standard. I have to say since starting to use the Pentax K7 DSLR, Click here for more info on
Pentax K7 I've certainly seen a huge difference. You will discover it in the reduction of the volume of snaps you'll be deleting after a session. That's the place it actually matters.
